2018 Jilin Water Transportation Emergency Rescue Comprehensive Drill held

On July 27, The 2018 Jilin Province water transportation emergency rescue comprehensive drill was successfully held. The drill was simulated when the Jichangchundu 7136 ship was sailed in the Wushudukou area of Songhua River., the straw trucks in the ship suddenly caught fire and the fire spread rapidly. The life of the passengers on the ship was seriously threatened. The captain organized the crew to use fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire. At the same time, they reported the situation to the maritime department and applied for rescue. After received the fire situation of the ship, the maritime department quickly responded and organized the maritime ships to carry out rescue.
 
During the rescue process, passengers fell into the water, and the maritime department and the Red Arrow Rescue Team used the rubber boats to rescue the drowning personnel. Subsequently, they transported the injured to 120 ambulances, and the Jihai Tour 16 ship was put out a fired for Jichangchundu 7136 ship. After the successful fire extinguishing, unexpectedly, Jichangchundu 7136 ship was collided with Jichangchunyou 6052 ship during the return flight, causing the sump oil tank from Jichangchunyou 6052 ship to fall into the river, it resulted in oil spill pollution, and the maritime department quickly started the effluent disposal emergency plan, deployed oil booms and laid out oil absorbent pads for disposing spilled oil.
 
Then, the drill was simulated the danger of sudden floods. Some people were trapped by the floods on the Jiangxin Island. After received the help, they dispatched maritime ships to rescue the trapped people.
 
It was introduced that the drill was organized by the Provincial Department of Transportation, sponsored by the Changchun Municipal Transportation Bureau, and more than 40 people from the Provincial Maritime Bureau, the Changchun Maritime and the Marine Department of the jurisdiction, the Red Arrow Rescue Team, the Emergency Center, and the Waterway Transportation Enterprise. A total of 16 ships and ambulances were used in various sports, and it was the largest water search and rescue drill in Songhua River. The drill was set up four dangerous situations, such as ship collision, ship fire, passenger water drop, and ship pollution, and targeted emergency treatment. More than 60 people watched the drill on the spot.
