Shanghai Minhang Maritime Bureau successfully held a 2018 water emergency comprehensive drill

Recently, the Shanghai Minhang Maritime Bureau 2018 water emergency comprehensive drill was successfully held in the waters of the Kunyang Road Yuejiang Project.
 
At 9:30 in the morning, with the order of the general on-site commander, the water emergency comprehensive drill was officially begun. This drill was simulated the tube of the ship "Dehong XXX" was burst in the waters of the main pier construction platform of the Minpu Third Bridge, the main engine was failed, the personnel fell into the river and then caused the oil pollution, the ship was out of control and impacted the construction platform, and the captain issued a distress signal. Under the command of the Minhang Maritime Bureau, three patrol boats, such as the "Sea Patrol 01707" boat, the "Sea Patrol 01012" boat, and the "Sea Patrol 01043" boat, quickly rushed to the incident waters. At the same time, they coordinated the local maritime affairs agencies such as Minhang District Local Maritime Department, Fengxian District Local Maritime Department, Dong'an Cleanup Company and Wanghua Salvage Company to rescue.
 
After an hour and a half of intense rescue, the participating units and the search and rescue forces worked closely together to successfully complete the drill for personnel search and rescue, ship fire and fire fighting, ship pollution removal by deploying oil booms and oil absorbent pads, etc. The drowning personnel were successfully rescued. The ship was effectively controlled, the oil spill on the river surface was successfully removed, and the activity was achieved a complete success.
 
The comprehensive emergency drill mobilized 13 sea patrol boats, professional rescue forces and other types of ships (boats) and a number of ambulances. There were more than 100 personnel from the Minhang Maritime Bureau, Minhang District, Fengxian District Local Maritime Department, Shanghai Kunyang Road Yuejiang and supporting road projects from the project department, Shanghai Wanghua Salvage Company and Shanghai Dongan Water Pollution Prevention Center Co., Ltd. to participate in the drill, and it was fully demonstrated the strong synergy of multi-sector collaborative emergency search.
