Lujiang Maritime hold the 2020 Xiamen-Zhangzhou passenger route maritime search and rescue drill

Lujiang Maritime Department hold the 2020 Xiamen-Zhangzhou passenger route maritime search and rescue and oil spill emergency drill. This drill was simulated when a Xiamen-Zhangzhou route ship (carrying 20 passengers) was sailing to the waters near buoy 701, the host suddenly failure, then the ship was out of control. During the disposal process, the ship touched the Guano Reef under the influence of wind and current, and the hull was damaged and flooded and tilted. Later, it was found that the slop tank was damaged and the oil was leaked. The passengers on the ship lost control of their emotions and the scene was chaotic. Two passengers fell into the water. The captain immediately called for rescue and carried out emergency measures for ship plugging. After receiving the alarm, the search and rescue center instructed the Lujiang Maritime Department to carry out emergency response work, coordinate the transfer of passengers from nearby sailing ships, and coordinate the cleanup unit to carry out emergency cleanup operations(by carrying oil booms and oil absorbent pads for oil spill controlling and cleaning), and dispatched drones to assist on-site search and rescue operations.After the efforts of each party, the exercise was successfully completed.
