After the incident, the People’s Government of Wenjiang District, Chengdu City immediately launched the “Emergency Plan for Environmental Incidents at the Jinma River Centralized Drinking Water Source (Wenjiang Section) of the Minjiang Water Plant in Chengdu”. Relevant departments rushed to the scene to participate in emergency response. The on-site disposal personnel carried out initial disposal in accordance with the instructions, plugging the gully and building a dam in the river to intercept pollutants.
