The Transportation Management Center of Jiading District Transportation Committee cooperated with public security, fire protection, water rescue, environmental protection and other departments to hold 2021 transportation industry emergency drill. The drill was simulated a collision between two ships in an inland river, and the relevant rescue units carried out rescue operations.
At 2 pm, the District Transportation Management Center received an alarm that two ships collided in the 200 meters west of the Huiping Road Bridge in the waters of Wanzaobang, and one of the ships escaped.
After receiving the alarm, the center immediately activated a special emergency plan for emergencies, and immediately mobilized two maritime patrol boats and a water public security patrol boat to intercept the escaped ships and take compulsory measures against the escaped crew. At the same time, rescuers rushed to the scene and used fire extinguishers to put out fires on ships. Due to the large fire that ignited the wood piled on the wharf, the local fire department rushed to the scene to participate in the rescue under the dispatch of the command center. The remaining water rescue ships also arrived quickly, passed the cargo on the barge, and quickly blocked the damaged ship. The professional spill disposal team also immediately used oil booms, oil skimmers and other equipment to recover spilled oil and implement containment control and cleanup of polluted waters. About 40 minutes later, the rescue work was completed and the drill was achieved a complete success.
